Our Story

From Derby Avenue to Ghana’s modern TVET future.

Founded by Very Rev. Fr. Andrew Campbell on 3rd November 1980 with 22 students at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Derby Avenue, SAHTECH has grown into one of Ghana’s respected technical schools.

The institute moved to Jamestown in 1993, was absorbed by government in 1996, and transitioned into the Ghana TVET Service in 2024, aligning its training with industry standards and national skills development.
